Lakers topple Celtics in Game 7

Kobe Bryant poured in 23 points to help the Los Angeles Lakers defeat the Boston Celtics 83-79 and win the NBA title Thursday night.

The Lakers failed to cover the 6.5-point spread, while the 162 points went UNDER the posted total of 186 set by oddsmakers.

Pau Gasol collected 19 points and 18 rebounds for a double-double in leading The Lakers.

Paul Pierce had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Celtics in the loss.
